This is the home page for the Ho`okuleana Project For Educators, a program intended to support Moloka`i educators in the integration of the following components into student learning experiences:
1. scientific inquiry
2. environmental monitoring
3. island stewardship
4. appropriate technology use
Ho`okuleana means 'to take responsibility' in Hawaiian. In this program educators and students learn to implement environmental monitoring projects on the island of Moloka`i in an effort to take responsibility of their unique natural and cultural island resources.
