Alaka`ina Foundation - Hawai`i Source Education Outreach (HSEO) - HSEO currently runs the mobile science and technology lab known as The Digital Bus, which offers field-based science projects supporting K-12 schools and community organizations throughout Maui County. HSEO will provide management oversight, curriculum development, training, field support, classroom support and technical coordination of the project.

Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR),– The DLNR's mission is to manage, conserve and restore the state's unique aquatic resources and ecosystems for present and future generations. DLNR staff will provide field assistance and conservation lessons. |

Maui Coastal Land Trust (MCLT), - MCLT is a non-political, non-profit organization that works to protect significant environmental and cultural resources in perpetuity. The Maui Digital Bus partner with MCLT to protect the 277 acre Waihe ' e Coastal Dunes and Wetlands Preserve (The Waihe ' e Preserve) conserves and protects over 24 acres of coastal, spring-fed wetland, 103 acres of dune ecosystem, over 7,000 feet of marine shoreline and more than 8 acres of riparian habitat. MCLT will provide site access and volunteer assistance on all site visits. |

Hawai`i Wildlife Fund (HWF), Hawai ' i Wildlife Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Hawaii's native wildlife through research, education and conservation. Nicole Davis and Cheryl King will facilitate marine mammal and sea turtle lessons, and provide field assistance as needed. |

Pomaika`i Elementary School - Hawaii's newest K-5 elementary school, emphasizing arts in education, is located a few minutes from the Waihe'e Preserve, and serves over 460 students. Each grade level will rotate monthly beach clean-up efforts and classroom activities, while the 4 th and 5 th grade students will collect and compile the data, and use technology to create public presentations such as iMovies and Powerpoint presentations. The entire school will participate in a recycled art contest, using marine debris collected during the year, and will present all of their projects at a culminating event at the end of the school year. |
