| The Waihe`e Watershed Program is a program
for students and teachers that facilitates meaningful
outdoor education experiences in the Waihe'e Coastal Dunes
Refuge on the island of Maui.
The program is operated by Maui Coastal Land Trust
with support from the Alaka'ina Foundation (Maui Digital
Bus). The Maui Coastal Land Trust purchased the coastal
area in Waihe'e and preserved it indefinitely in 2004.
The refuge is dedicated for restoration and education
only.
Funding for the Waihe'e Watershed Program is provided
through a NOAA Bay Watershed Education and Training
grant. The program is currently in its second year of
funding.
